Wendy Fisher, LPC
I received my Masters degree with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Counseling from Northwest Nazarene University. I have specialized training to help clients who are dealing with grief, trauma, and crisis. I am also experienced in working with clients who are dealing with relationship conflict, life transitions, depression, and anxiety.
I enjoy working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I am continually inspired by the bravery, strength, and creativeness of my clients as they seek to overcome difficulties and live a genuine and fulfilling life. I believe that behavioral concerns and emotional distress arise from multiple factors such as biology, environment, cultural components, and relational conflict. I use a systems theory perspective to understand all the elements that may be contributing to my client’s struggles. As a licensed counselor in the State of Idaho, I use cognitive behavioral therapy and narrative therapy based interventions when working with clients. I also incorporate play therapy and expressive arts if my client is comfortable doing so. I hope to foster a strengths based environment where clients feel safe to experience all their emotions while gaining self-awareness and discovering alternative solutions to their obstacles.
