I see therapy as a collaborative process with my clients and believe that everyone has the capacity to change and grow. The therapy session is a safe space to explore emotions and behaviors, seek understanding, build upon strengths, and practice skills together.

In the social services field, I have worked with adolescents in various settings and have also worked with folks that have a refugee background. As a therapist, I use a person-centered approach to ensure that my client’s needs are central to the change process. I use a variety of techniques from various therapy models; therapy sessions will be tailored to each individual person based on their unique needs and strengths. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, behaviors, and emotions. I use Play Therapy to help clients and their families understand emotional expression and regulation, heal from trauma, and navigate life transitions as a child (losses, moves, new siblings). Attachment theory guides my practice by helping clients explore how their early attachments impact their current interpersonal relationships. I also use Polyvagal Theory to help clients recognize how their nervous system responds to stressors in daily life.

In my personal life, I enjoy being outdoors in various capacities, drinking a good cup of coffee with friends, and creating art. I’m looking forward to connecting with you soon!
